Share The Bounty Food Pantry

The Salem United Methodist Church (UMC) and its United Methodist Women (UMW) are sponsoring a food pantry for families in the surrounding community: Simpson and Grimesland, but, also some other parts of Pitt County. The mission is to deliver nutritious food to persons who are homebound, experiencing an emergency food need, unemployed, working poor, Backpack Pals, or school age children with no access to summer feeding programs in eastern Pitt County.

We are in partnership with the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina, The Emergency Food Assistance Program, and a Retail Recovery Program with Food Lion. In addition, we are supported by food and monetary donations from Salem United Methodist Church, its members and friends.

The food pantry is currently open the:

1st and 3rd Saturday of every month for drive-thru service from 9:00-11:00am.

(please have the trunk of your vehicle cleaned out and accessible and remain inside the vehicle)
