The Rev. Jim McConnell, Pastor
Jim comes to Salem United Methodist church with seventeen years of experience leading congregations in Chapel Hill, NC and Ayden, NC. A graduate of Duke Divinity School, Jim couldn’t care less about basketball, but cares deeply about the communities and congregations he serves. Jim is married to Emily McConnell, and they have three daughters, Brighton, Caty and Quinn.
Leslyn Davis, Children’s and Youth Minister
Leslyn is currently in graduate school, working towards a Masters of
Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. From an early age, she was
driven to help others. Having grown up in a church atmosphere, remembering my days
in youth group, camp, and Sunday school, I realize the tremendous importance I have in
the life of the youth at Salem Methodist. I look forward to what the future brings for
these young adults as we begin our journey together!

becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.” Matthew 13:32
